NA1: INFORMAL EMAIL/LETTER (Writing task)

Well. I bet you are more than ready to send me an email. All you have to do is the following:

  • You are going to write an e-mail answering Chris’s e-mail on p.17.
  •  Do the same as you are told on p.17.
  • You must include a paragraph where you mention that you attended a speed dating event and that you met someone there (talk about him or her).
  • Deadline: Thursday 8th of November.
THANK YOU!

NA1: Norah Jones and Lionel Richie (The Guardian Q & A)

You thought that I had forgotten about you, didn't you? Well the answer is no. We are going to read two interviews which were taken from a section in The Guardian Newspaper called Q & A. Here you have the links to the real interviews. You can read them and newxt Tuesday we'll discuss in class if they were very different from the ones in the textbook. What extra information did you get by reading the original interviews.

And you could have a little bit more extra reading practice by choosing someone you like in this section and reading his or her interview. OK? I've already chosen Tom Jones. Do you know why?

NI2. Songs on the 2nd conditional (If you were a sailboat)

I've been searching for songs which use the 2nd conditional and there are loads of them. I've chosen one by Katie Melua to work in class. Here is the song and the link to the exercise we'll be doing in class. I've also decided to give you the links to some other 2nd conditional songs. Make the most of them.
